Open-Xchange Version Support Committment
Open-Xchange Versions
Open-Xchange provides different level of versions. The releases versions are:
- New Generation: Provide new technologies
- Major Release: Provide functional enhancements including Bug Fixes, accumulate earlier Patch Releases's/ major releases
- Minor Release: Provide common bug fixes for all customers, accumulate previous Patch Release's
- Patch Release: Provide fixes for severity level 1/2 tickets, for a specific Support Customer, small features, temporary until next Maintenance Release accumulative
- Public Patch Release: Provide fixes for severity level 1/2 tickets, for all Support Customer, small features, temporary until next Maintenance Release accumulative
Support Committment
Major Release
A Major Release cycle will be supported 6 Month after first customer shipment after the next shipped Major Release
Minor Release
Always the latest available Minor Release of a Major Release cycle will be official supported. To provide the possibility for a planned updates, Open-Xchange will support maximal the 2 last released Minor Release of a Major Release family (e.g. 7.0.1 and 7.0.2). The older one of the supported minor release will be supported maximal 4 Weeks after release of the latest one.
Patch Releases
At the Minor Release cycles, the latest Patch Release will be supported.
